Birthdays have never been so fun! Get in on the celebration Friday July 6th at the Old Courthouse in Downtown Evansville from 10am – 2pm as Vanderburgh County Celebrates their big 200th birthday with a Bicentennial Birthday Bash!
Because this is their big 2-0-0 they pulled out all the stops. With over 9 food trucks, inflatables, face-painting, music, birthday cake and an adult beverage Bicentennial bar, there is something for everyone.
Oh and did we mention they are having a Zip Line running down 4th street between the Old Courthouse and the Old Jail?
Yes, we said ZIPLINE!
You can thank our friends at the Old National Events Plaza for that one! Those guys know how to entertain! When they want to go big they really go BIG!
And, because of their generous celebration donation, everyone gets to go on it FOR FREE. So next time you are driving by, give them a honk for being such awesome community partners and showing us all how you really have fun.
More on the Adult Beverages – Lamasco on Location will be providing specialty cocktails, craft beers and our personal favorite way to beat the heat – Bicentennial Poptails. So get the kids a Kona Ice and get yourself a spiked pop. Happy kids, happy parents.
Speaking of food trucks, in addition to Kona Ice they will also be having Fresh by Gene’s, Pizza by the Slice, Chef Bruce Li, Uncle Ted’s, Lamasco on Location, Papa T’s Tamales, Jayson Munoz Caters, River City Dawgs & Sassy Sweet Confections on hand to make all your street food dreams come true.
Finally, kids can have a ball getting their faces painted, jumping in the Crazy Castle Bounce House and Slide and those old enough, flying on the Zipline over 4th Street.
Get there early at 10am for the Bicentennial Birthday Cake presentation and applaud the great sponsors who made all this fun possible.
